It’s raining and you and your friends feel stuck for something to do. Don’t worry, there are lots of options if you just look around you and even use your imagination a bit. So don’t let a rainy day get you down, especially when you are with friends. Things to do on a rainy day with friends
If you look just beyond home, there are a whole lot of things to do on a rainy day. If you’re feeling adventurous, take the opportunity to go out and have some fun. Whatever you decide, make it a day to remember!
1. Go bowling
Isn’t bowling the quintessential indoor pursuit for family, friends and even strangers? Why not take a drive to your local bowling alley and throw some balls at the pins? After the game, make an event of it and grab a bite to eat.
2. Go to a movie
Nothing beats a good movie on a rainy day, but don’t just leap in and go to the movies for the sake of going. Take a little time to research with your friends what movies are on and what appeals to all of you. Then head off to your local movie theater, grab the popcorn and enjoy!
3. Go roller skating
Have you been roller skating recently? All you need is a bunch of friends and a rainy day. You don’t even need your own roller skates or inline skates, because you can hire what you need at the rink. Even if there is only a roller rink a little way from where you live, it’s worth the trip.
4. Escape room
A group of friends. A room. Puzzles to solve. What a way to spend a rainy day. When you are locked in the escape room, you will forget the weather and just about everything else, as you work together as a group to solve the riddles and work your way out of the room.
5. Go for a drive
Rain or not, there is bound to be a scenic route you can take for an outing. Just roll along the road enjoying your surroundings, or head for a tea room, hotel, or coffee shop for a cozy cup of coffee and a slice of cake. Take a different route home and really enjoy the views.
6. Go to a salon
There are just those days when you feel you are not at your best. Rainy days can also bring us down. Why not take a group of friends and go to the salon? You can opt for a mini makeover or just a mani-pedi. Take advantage of the weather and enjoy being pampered.
7. Go out for a drink or for a meal
Think about rainy days as being the perfect excuse to find a cozy restaurant or steakhouse and enjoy a meal with friends. If your budget doesn’t stretch that far, then enjoy an hour or two at the local pub.
8. Play a game
How long has it been since you have had a really good games day? There is no more perfect time than on a rainy day.

Reach into the cupboard and take out your old favorite board games.

You can also play a game of good ol’ hide-and-seek. Make it more challenging, though, and play it blindfold.
C. Electronic games
A rainy day is the perfect time for a gaming marathon. Dust off the Play Station, or Wii, or Xbox and enjoy some video games.
Become a champion motor driver with Gran Tourismo, play a round of virtual golf, or take out some aliens in Halo.
9. Build a jig-saw puzzle
For some slightly less hectic fun, pull out one of those 500 piece jigsaw puzzles that you’ve been saving for a rainy day and set about building it with your friends.
10. Bake or cook
What about some fun in the kitchen? Head to the cupboards and bake a cake or some cookies. Or invent your own recipe.

11. Binge-watch a tv show
Why head out to see a movie? You can get comfortable, make your own popcorn and settle down to enjoy some good movies on Netflix or one of the dozen other streaming platforms there are now. Bond with your friends over a movie marathon, or binge-watch a series.
12. Do arts and Crafts
Do you or any of your friends paint? Or knit? Or do any other making or creating? Perhaps you want to learn a new craft. A rainy day is the perfect time to share your talents and be creative with your friends.
13. Read a book
Then, of course, a rainy day is the time to take out that book you are working your way through, or that you can’t put down or want to begin and to settle down for a good, solid read together.
